Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department was established in the year 2008. The B.Tech courses at Pailan college of Management & Technology are affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) formerly WBUT and approved by all India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). The B.Tech in CSE programme offers subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cryptography, Soft Computing, IoT, and Cyber Security to keep students in sync with advances in technology, and prepare them for lifelong learning. The primary goal of CSE Department is to provide best IT infrastructure, world class learning & research environment, adopt industry practices through industry collaborations and inculcate moral and ethical values.
The objective of the program is to educate, train and develop world class research and IT professionals with a mastery of not only hardware and software skills but also soft skills for professional success.The program offers flexibility in choosing elective courses for widening the understanding of emerging concepts and processes in different domains. Students can opt for specializations which provide a coherent and increasingly sophisticated understanding so as to enable them to pursue preferred career opportunities. The programme will create a well prepared and well-motivated workforce to undertake careers in research and industry involving innovation, knowledge creation, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
The B.Tech in CSE programme consists of eight semesters (1-8) for regular students and six semesters (3-8) for lateral entry students. As per the norms each academic year consists of two semesters.
